#MICHIGAN BASIC DRIVER IMPROVEMENT COURSE REVIEWS DRIVERS#
The State has put together the Basic Driver Improvement Course (BDIC) program that allows eligible drivers to take this driver improvement course either online or in a classroom setting as a way of keeping their driving record from showing violations and points and to keep insurance rate from rising but not reporting violations to insurance companies if the course is successfully completed. The points from the violation will not flow to their driving record and the violation will not be disclosed to insurance carrier.Įffective December 31, 2010, Secretary of State/SOS - Michigan law (MCL 257.320d) permits individuals to complete 4-Hour Basic Driver Improvement Course (BDIC) online to avoid certain minor traffic tickets from getting reported to insurance companies. Once the eligible driver takes the course and passes, the results will be reported to the MDOS. Avoid ticket points and ticket information being sent to your insurance company.
